No ship can carry the 300i right now other than the 890Jump, and the 890 does have a med bay. The MISC Odyssey also gives the Carrack loaner but costs more, even more than the Carrack. The Galaxy base is the most recent cheap-ish way of getting the loaner Carrack. I am not sure about ground vehicles but they seem to be in a separate category with much lower detection ranges, they likely don't want you to be able to bomb ground vehicles from orbit without any risk. Not as important now since they normalized component stats meaning most ships of the same size have similar IR/EM emissions (unless you turn off components but even then you will get detected eventually). In the past you could just look at the highest number between your IR/EM/CS value as that would be the range your ship would get detected at, for example 3000 IR, 5000 EM, 2000 CS would mean detection at 5000m. Larger ships will get detected from farther away while smaller ships with lower emissions and specific profiles like the Eclipse will require you to be much closer. So detection range is mostly dependent on the ship and its IR/EM/CS.

There is essentially no differentiation in radar/sensors between ships at the moment, they all run at 11. Warnings aside, if you enjoy sandbox games, and don't go too ham on your first ship, it's easy to get at least one game's worth of fun out of it, but don't expect if you spend $500 to have 10x as much fun, or be entitled to faster development progress (and those big ships are way slower, frequently don't have pilot guns, and will just require additional maintainence soon. If you were enjoying your time in game it wasn't wasted when they wipe progress Occasionally they completely reset progress, which isn't a huge deal, but is on-par with something like losing a Minecraft world. There's nothing else like it, but also patch to patch it varies between literally unplayable (some bugs mean some players are just locked out until the next quarterly patch) and some just make playing miserable.

Most of us think so or we wouldn't be here, but there's also a whole other sub worth of people who just live to hate this game and are so dissatisfied they make it their life's goal to hang around an make sure no one else tries to have fun.
